We take a lot of emphasis that our children should refrain from watching violent videos and we should give them toys selectively as it affects their way of thinking. Watching and playing with these will hamper the progress of these certain individuals who get addicted to these types of videos and certain toys. We are scared that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. But at the same time, we are not paying any heed to the child who is listening to the songs that teach and give them lessons about broken hearts, rejection, pain, misery, loss, vulgarity, anger, etc. We are selective in our approach and are judgemental. We should take a holistic cognizance of all the factors to make our society free from all evils. To control it means to have control over all the things that affect their way of thinking.
Not only do parents have a bigger responsibility, but the teachers at school can contribute a lot to eradicate this menace from society. We should keep a tight vigil on our children, and their choices of listening to music.
We are seeing an alarming increase in crimes and there is no day when we are not reading about these crimes happening around our locality. God forbid if we shy away from our responsibility to eradicate this menace, it will fully grow up to take our children from us and they will develop bad habits which will have a big impact on society overall. We should take concrete steps and monitor every action of our children to stop them from listening to these types of songs which hamper their progress of developing into good and obedient law-abiding citizens.
