Dearest Papa,
I am sorry, Papa, as you may find me emotionally locked in this letter. I am sorry; I seem to apologise beforehand. Papa, I have never told you before, although I always wished to but never could, about the impact you have had on my life. What I am today is all because of you. Your presence in my life is no less important than the air that I inhale for my existence. They call me Dr. Rohi now and it’s the feeling that I have always cherished, but I know, Papa, what you had to go through in rearing me and how you met the ends in bringing me up.
Papa, I am writing to you via this letter because I want to express my gratitude – the gratitude that I owe to you. I want to express it through the means of this letter only because I turn blank in front of you. However, I tried, but I flunked outright. So, I am expressing it here. Take these words not as words but as my admiration and reverence that come from the deepest part of my heart. I may feel like I am weeping and losing my normal state; that might be true. I know, you know, I love you and the values that you have inculcated in me subconsciously.
Papa, you have been a consistent source of support and encouragement to me since I was a child. Your commitment to providing for your family as well as your unwavering assistance during my journey has made a lasting impression on me. I may not have always expressed my gratitude, but please know that I appreciate everything you’ve done for me.
Even when I doubted myself, your unshakable faith in me gave me the confidence to pursue my aspirations and shoot for the heavens. Your insightful comments have guided me through life’s difficulties, telling me to never give up and to always strive for perfection. You have been a source of strength and wisdom in my life. Your presence has had a great impact on me. Your invincible faith in my talents has given me the courage to pursue my goals and overcome obstacles. I am eternally thankful.
Beyond your guidance, it is your love that has formed me into the person I am today. Your unwavering devotion has been a beacon of warmth and comfort, offering solace in my darkest periods and true joy in my achievements. I treasure the times we’ve spent together, whether it was sharing laughing or simply sitting in peaceful silence, knowing that your very presence is enough to fill my heart with joy.
Dear Papa, you have instilled in me the values of integrity, compassion, and perseverance. Your actions have consistently displayed what it means to be a person of character and integrity, and they have spoken louder than words. You have taught me the value of treating others with kindness and understanding, developing in me a profound compassion for my fellow humans. You are not a role model for me only but for Bayya and Chotu also. Your passion and work ethics have been an inspiration to us. We have seen your relentless efforts and sacrifices to provide for the family. Your dedication to excellence and pursuit of personal and professional development has inspired us all to strive for our success. You have taught us the importance of perseverance and hard work. Your unrelenting commitment has shown us that everything is achievable with dedication and endurance.
As I go through life, I often discover myself reflecting on the teachings you have taught me. Your determination and resilience in the face of hardship have served as a shining example for me during my own difficulties and tribulations. You showed me that it is in our darkest hours that we find our inner strength and that it is through tenacity that we can conquer any challenge that comes our way. You have also shown the great significance of education as a lifetime pursuit that enriches the intellect, broadens perspectives, and transforms lives, not only as a tool to obtain a job or achieve success. I want you to know that I intend to make you proud.
