ANANTNAG: A mass plantation cum awareness drive was today held under the ambit of Green JK Drive 2022-23 at Industrial Estate Vessu, here.
The drive was organized by the JK Pollution Control Committee in collaboration with the Department of Forest and Environment.
During the programme, the industrialists were sensitized about afforestation and the need to increase green cover. 800 different species of plants were distributed among the participants for further plantation.
Saplings of Deodar were also planted at the site.
Regional Director PCC Kashmir presided over the programme.
The plantation drive was also attended by DFO Anantnag and District Officer, PCC among others.
