Team of doctors from Police Hospital Jammu interacts with Police Public School students

Jammu: With an aim to sensitise and look after the health and hygiene of students of Police Public Schools in the UT, a team of doctors headed by Medical Superintendent Police Hospital Jammu, Dr Meenakshi Kotwal visited police public School Jammu today.
The other members of the team were Dr Sadaf Maheen (Dental Surgeon), Dr Asha Manhas (Gynaecology), Dr Priyanka Sambyal (ENT) and Dr Rajni Sharma (Opthalomolgy). The team interacted with the students of Class 8th ,9th, 10th and 12th in the school Auditorium in two separate sessions.
The visiting Doctors delivered thought provoking and informative lectures regarding adolescent issues, hormonal changes, behavioral changes, mood swings etc and their individual subject specialization likes ENT, Dentistry, Gynaecology and Opthalomolgy.
Medical Superintendent also stressed upon the students belonging to the Police Pariwar to inform their parents to fully avail the medical facilities being provided at the Police Hospital, free of cost. She conveyed her gratitude and thanks to Chairperson PWWA for organizing the programme for the health and well being of students of the school and providing an opportunity to the police hospital Jammu to conduct the programme.
She said that in the coming days she would chalk out a programme to check the students who need any medical help. She requested the Principal to send teachers, Counselor and Staff Nurse in a phased manner to Police Hospital so that they could be trained/groomed further by giving questionnaires and orientation so that they can easily identify the symptoms/problems (physical or psychological) being faced by the students so that they can be treated.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Coordinator of J&K Police Public Schools Shri Inderjeet Singh.
Nodal Officer, (CO JKAP 8th Bn) Shri Tahir Sajad Bhat, Principal Police Public School Jammu Renu Khurdi and staff of Police Public school attended the programme.
