District Admin Shopian emphasises for quick grievance redressal

Ensure remarkable achievement in Public Grievances Redressal System: ADC Shopian

SHOPIAN: The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani today convened a meeting of District/Sectoral officers for quick redressal of people’s grievances in mission mode.
On the occasion, Simnani said that our aim is to reduce redressal time of a grievance and response to every genuine complaint within a reasonable timeframe. He further added that it has been our endeavor to ensure the principles of good governance bring accountability, transparency and better services to citizens. He said that we must ensure the disposal of every genuine public grievance to make the system more accountable, responsive and efficient.
The ADC directed the officers to resume public outreach activity for better coverage of government schemes, enhanced interaction with common man and effective monitoring.
He stressed for redressing grievances quickly within weeks time and said that any kind of laxity will not be tolerated at all as it is meant for the well-being of the people.
ADC said that IGRAMS is meant to make existing mechanisms more robust and efficient wherein there will be a minute by minute status update of the grievances lodged by the general public.
He said that this platform is meant to lodge grievances for the qualitative, prompt and effective Redressal by the Administration.
He further added that it is a platform for gaining people’s trust on Administration and District Administration is taking every step for prompt and speedy disposal of the public grievances by strengthening and augmenting the grievance mechanism to achieve the optimum efficiency.
Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shopian, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha, Tehsildar, Shopian, Fida Mohammad, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dy. CMO and other district/Sectoral Officers attended the meeting.
