Major heart emergencies being taken care at GMC Doda

Patient thrombolysed by Junior Resident doctor, Paramedical Staff

DODA: Showing fast progress in achieving best standards of patient care, Government Medical College and Hospital Doda today saved the life of a Heart Attack (MI) patient by providing immediate treatment.
As per the management, the patient namely Dilawar of Khara Age 54 yrs arrived in Associated Hospital GMC Doda with a history of chest pain radiating to the back. The patient was immediately shifted to the Emergency Room of AH GMC Doda. His Trop-T test was positive and ECG showed STEMI. The patient was diagnosed to have suffered a heart attack (MI). Patient was immediately Thrombolised with Inj Streptokinase 1.5 MU in 200 ml NS by Junior Resident Dr Sakib Yousuf and Paramadic Arif Mir under the supervision of Senior Resident Dr Aamir Parray.
The pain of the patient settled immediately and his vitals are stable now with BP 110 /60 mmHg, PR 83 bpm, SpO2 96%.
The swift and timely treatment (thrombolysis) of the patient by Junior Resident Dr Sakib Yousuf and Paramadic Mr Arif Mir saved his life. The role played by Dr. Sakib Yousuf and Arif Mir is highly appreciable.
