AWANTIPORA: Cresent XI Hariparigam Tral lifted title T-20 knockout tournament by defeating Meej Pampore by 30 runs in the summit clash of T-20 cricket tournament played at District police line Awantipora on Wednesday.
Mohammad Younis was declared Man of the match and Nadeem Ahmad was declared as man of the tournament for their outstanding performance.
SSP Awantipora, Mohammad Yousuf was the chief guest on the prize distribution ceremony. SDPO Awantipora Ajaz Ahmad Choudhary, SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad, DySP DAR DPL Awantipora Javaid Ahmad were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Awantipora said such tournaments provide a platform to the talented youth.
“Awantipora police will provide all possible support for channelizing the energy of youth towards positive direction,” he added.
He congratulated the winning team and appreciated the participants.
He also appreciated the efforts of Officers/Officials of Awantipora Police and whole organizing team for making this Cricket League possible in a best manner.
Later on SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf distributed cash prizes, medals,trophies, momentous among participants.
A cash prize of Rs 10000 was given to winning team and Rs 5000 to runner up team Rs 2000 to man of the tournament.
The tournament was organized by District Police Awantipora under Civic Action programme in which 16 teams from neighboring areas took part.
