‘Avoid unnecessary visit to SDH Pampore, avail telemedicine facility for minor symptoms’

PAMPORE: Authorities at Sub District Pampore have appealed to people with minor illnesses for not visiting the health facility physically.
Some doctors and paramedics in many health centres of medical block Pampore have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last few days.
The authorities told Kashmir Reader that they have released four numbers which people with minor illness can use for telemedication.
The appeal has been made in view of some staffers contracting COVID 19.
Talking to Kashmir Reader Dr Mohammad Ashraf, Nodal Officer COVID 19 for medical block Pampore, said that COVID cases are surging in the community.
“Our doctors, paramedic staff and people out of the hospital area are turning positive,” he said, appealing to people to avoid unnecessary visits to Sub district hospital Pampore.
He said that if they show mild symptoms or other illnesses, they can contact doctors on the phone for telemedicine.
” I want people to follow CAB, including maintaining social distance, frequent hand washing and wearing face masks,” he said.
He said on instructions of the Director of Health Services Kashmir, they are conducting a RAT of visitors to Sub district hospital.
” The flow of visitors decreased during the day due to fear of RAT. However, unfortunately they visit the hospital during night, increasing the load on our doctors, each of whom have to see 400 patients per night, exhausting them ,” he said.
He also advised people to go for vaccination.
“Those people who are yet get 1st, 2nd or booster dose should get it at an earliest,” he said.
