Progress under ICDS schemes reviewed at Shopian

SHOPIAN: To review the progress and implementation of various schemes with regard to Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani today convened a meeting of concerned officers at Mini Secretariat Arhama, here.
The ADC directed CDPO and all Supervisors to monitor overall functioning of Anganwadi Centers (AWC) under their control and stressed upon the Supervisors to acquire data of each AWC regarding its population and beneficiaries list.
Regarding Nutrition, the ADC directed the concerned to ensure best quality of nutrition procurement through Procurement Committees.
On the occasion, a threadbare discussion on the subject was held wherein the progress and implementation of various Centrally Sponsored schemes were briefed to the chair.
After reviewing the progress of performance of the district, ADC directed the concerned officers to expedite the procurement of nutrition for the Anganwadi Centers with strict adherence to the Covid- 19 guidelines to avoid the spread of virus.
He also stressed for making awareness among the people so that the benefits of schemes reach to the deserving ones in the district. During the meeting, special emphasis was laid on cent percent Aadhaar seeding and Aadhaar generation in the district.
Meanwhile, ADC also informed that Anaemia Mukht Campaign is going to be launched soon. He urged for making people aware with regard to the control of the disease. He insisted on adopting a balanced diet, sanitation and health lifestyle as a measure to control the disease to a large extent.
The meeting was attended by the officers/officials, besides Supervisors of ICDS Project Shopian and other concerned.
