Annual congregation held amid spiritual ambience

KISHTWAR: The annual Urs of Hazarat Shah Asrar-Ud-Din (RA) was today held with religious fervor and spiritual ambience here at the historical Shrine of the Sufi saint.
One of the most revered saints of Kishtwar, Hazrat Shah Asrar(RA) represents the composite culture of Kishtwar and is equally revered by all communities of the area. Every year thousands of devotees from all walks of life and different religions and regions throng the famous shrine of Shah Asrar-Ud Din (RA) to pay their reverence to the pious saint and seek his blessings.
The District administration, in collaboration with the Auqaf Islamia, had ensured all arrangements for the peaceful and hassle-free annual congregation (Urs) for which a large number of devotees visited the shrine.
The line departments were directed by the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma to make available all facilities to the devotees like uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, essential items, Shamianas, security, transport, sanitation on the occasion. A joint control room was established at Chowgan Ground to facilitate the devotees and sensitise them to follow the COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour.
