Pampore: Driver of a cab was killed in a road mishap on the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Lethpora area of Awantipora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday evening.
The deceased driver has been identified as Ghulam Mohammad Mir, resident of Puchal Pulwama. Station House Officer Awantipora Zahoor Ahmad told Kashmir Reader that a vechile bearing registration number JK03A/7506 driven by one Ghulam Mohammad Mir son of Abdul Rahim, resident of Puchal, Pulwama skipped off from the road on the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Letpora, resulting serious injury of the driver of Sumo. He was immediately shifted to Sub district hospital Pampore, where he was declared brought dead by doctors.
The body of the deceased was handed over to his family members for his last rites.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and further investigation has been taken up.
