BGSBU organises webinar on Role of E-Learning Platforms for Up- Skilling and Training

Rajouri: School of Engineering and Technology, BGSBU organised a webinar on “Skill Development: Role of E-Learning Platforms for Up- Skilling and Training” on 6th October, 2021.
Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Prof.Akbar Masood lauded the efforts of the School of Engineering and Technology for organising the webinar.Prof. Akbar mentioned that skill development through e-learning has gained increased importance and acceptance in view of the challenges posed by Covid-19. Prof. Akbar said that the talent landscape in this new environment is being re-imagined and digital education has opened a window of opportunity for both teachers and students, ensuring greater participation in the learning process.
Prof. Rihan Khan Suri, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University, Delhi delivered the keynote address. In his address Prof Khan emphasized on Various E-Learning National platforms like SWAYAM, NPTEL and some international platforms like COURSE ERA.He said that there is no shortcut to Hard work and we all must use Soft Skills with Technical skills in order to gain benefits for our future endeavours.
Prof. Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic Affairs Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University delivered the welcome address. In his address Prof Iqbal Prof Iqbal Parwez emphasized on use of E-learning platforms and he described that how Covid-19 has resulted in distinctive rise of E-Learning.
Prof Asif Hussain, Dean & Principal, School of Engineering & Technology, BGSBU gave his concluding remarks on the topic in which he stressed about the use of Soft skills in Technical background and how it enhances employability in today’s globalization.
The webinar was Co-ordinated by Ms. Ankita Runani, AP, EE and Mrs. Rukhsana Thaker, Lecture, CSE. Faculty members and students of School of Engineering and Technology attended the webinar.
