Arrangements for Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) reviewed at Anantnag

ANANTNAG: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh Thursday chaired a meeting of officers to discuss and review the arrangements being put in place for ensuing Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations, here.
During the meeting, the availability and rates of essential commodities and eatable items, transport arrangements, traffic management, sanitation of Ziyarat Shareefs, Mosques and streets, ambulance services, power and water supply and proper functioning of street lights were discussed in threadbare.
Special emphasis was laid to ensure adherence to Covid Appropriate Behaviour by all participants during the observance of the Milad celebrations.
The ADC stressed to ensure the availability of water and power supply, proper cleanliness and sanitation, healthcare, ambulance services etc at the central Ziyarat Shariefs and mosques.
The ADC emphasized upon the concerned officers to ensure strict compliance of the approved rates of eatables, essential items etc. He stressed for conducting intensive market checking to curb illegal practices of profiteering and sale of substandard products.
The Chief Medical Officer was instructed to keep ambulance services in a state of readiness and ensure doctors and paramedical staff are available at important religious places.
SE PDD, CAHO, DSHO, ADs Food and Fisheries, Municipal Committee officials and other officers attended the meeting.
