Baramulla: A truck driver of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) fell down into a deep gorge and died in border town Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday afternoon.
Officials said that a truck driver parked his truck along roadside in Chollan area of Uri on Friday to wash his truck, however the driver fell from the culvert into a deep gorge.
The people nearby immediately reached the spot and shift the injured to nearby hospital, however he was declare as dead by the doctors.
The deceased was identified as Syed Javid Hussain 32 son of Syed Khadim Hussain resident of Noorkha Uri.
Police register a case and investigation is going on.
