KUPWARA: An army personnel belongs to 6RR posted along the Line of Control (LOC) in Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district Wednesday night, officials said.
They said that an army personal identified as Lokinder Singh Thakur posted along the Loc fired himself Wednesday night with his service rifle, the injured was immediately shifted to nearby army hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. The cause in which the deceased took this extreme step could not be confirmed immediately. However a case has been registered and investigation is going on.
