SRINAGAR: The Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Srinagar today conducted an awareness campaign regarding admissions and scholarships with the Para Legal volunteers (PLVs) in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority, Srinagar at District Court Complex, here.
The Para Legal Volunteers have established their Legal Clinics throughout the nook and corner of district Srinagar and are directly linked with the masses.
During the workshop, the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Noor Mohammad Khan stressed on the volunteers to disseminate the information at the grassroots level so that the students in particular and society in general is benefited with the skill oriented education.
The Principal, Dr. Shafquat Ara highlighted the importance of skill development and the scholarships given by the government under different schemes that can be availed during the course of study.
A detailed presentation was given to the Para Legal Volunteers which was followed by the question answer session.
