Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Sopore and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
Officers at a checkpoint established at village Wapora Rafiabad intercepted two persons identified as Irshad Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Muhammad Lone resident of Wapora Rafiabad and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Lone son of Gh Muhammad Lone resident of Khushipora Rafiabad. During checking, officers were able to recover 120 grams of Charas from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 86/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Panzla and further investigation have been initiated.
