BARAMULLA: A dead body was recovered from the lower Jhelum hydroelectric project (LJHP) in Bimyar area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday morning.
Officials said that some locals spotted a dead body in the water reservoir of power project along the river Jhelum in Bimyar area of Uri Uri on Monday morning and they just passed its information to police station Boniyar, who reached the spot and took the body into custody. They later shifted it to a nearby hospital for examination and identification.
Meanwhile, police also register a case under relevant sections of law and further investigation is going on.
The body was not identified when last reports came in.
