KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din, today convened a meeting of concerned officers to finalize the arrangements put in place by various departments for smooth celebration of Independence Day in Kupwara district.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues with regard to arrangements for smooth conduct of the National Day and officers briefed the DC about the arrangements being made in this regard.
On the occasion, the DC impressed upon all officers to work with more zeal and dedication to make the event a grand success in the district.
The DC gave a strict direction for compliance of COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines.
It was also informed that the celebration of Independence Day shall also be held at Sub-Divisional Levels, Tehsil level, Block level and panchayat level. In this regard Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Handwara and SDM Lolab/Karnah have already convened meetings with local Administration and passed directions for celebration of the event at their respective headquarters.
Among others, SSP Kupwara, G. V. Sundeep; ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir; Assistant Commissioners, JD Planning, CEO, YSSO and other Officers of the Administration attended the meeting.
