KUPWARA: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din, an awawreness rally regarding COVID-19, was taken off from Boys Middle School Kupwara today.
The rally was attended by school children from BHSS Kupwara, BMS Kupwara and BMS Dudwan of Zone Kupwara besides health workers, volunteers, and went through various markets of Kupwara and culminated at SDH Kupwara.
The students were seen holding placards and banners in their hands displaying a message that we, people in general should not show any negligence with regard to compliance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
The message was that people should not lower the guard against COVID-19 pandemic, and should follow COVID-19 SOPs in letter and spirit.
The rally was flagged off by Principal BHSS Kupwara in presence of other concerned officers, while the programme was coordinated by the Nodal Officer G M Dar.
The rally was conducted as part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahaotsav and was escorted by Police, PETs and school teachers up to Sub District Hospital Kupwara.
