KUPWARA: The Breast Feeding Week was celebrated at SDH Tangdar today at a function organized by BMO Tangdar and CDPO ICDS project Tangdar and Teetwal. The week is celebrated every year from 1 to August 7 to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world.
On the occasion, ASHA and Anganwadi workers of the area participated in the function.
During the function, the experts provided thorough awareness to the participants about the benefits of breastfeeding for both children as well as mothers.
They highlighted the importance of breastfeeding which promotes better health for mothers and children alike.
