KUPWARA: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara an awareness rally, regarding COVID-19, was taken off from Environmental Hall Handwara today.
The rally which was attended by school children from Zone Handwara and Hr Sec School Boys Handwara, besides volunteers of SDRF, ASHA workers of the health department went through various markets of Handwara town and culminated at BHSS Handwara.
The students were seen holding placards and banners in their hands displaying a message that we, people in general should not show negligence with regard to compliance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour. The message was that people should not lower the guard against COVID-19 pandemic, else should follow COVID-19 SOPs in letter and spirit.
The rally was flagged off by Chief Education Officer Kupwara A H Fani in presence of Dy CEO Handwara, Tehsildar Handwara, ZEO Handwara , Nodal Officer COVID Dr Muneer from Environmental Hall Handwara while as the programme was coordinated by Master G M Dar, Nodal Officer.
The rally was conducted as part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahaotsav and such awareness programmes shall continue in the district.
The rally was escorted by Police and teachers up to BHSS Handwara.
