RAMBAN: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Gool Giasul Haq today convened a meeting of heads of religious organisations to seek their cooperation in the implementation of Covid Safety protocols during Eid-ul-Adha.
The SDM urged religious leaders to ensure strict adherence to Covid-19 related SOPs at religious places and markets during the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
The SDM reiterated that the religious leaders and Management Committees of Mosques have a key role in sensitizing people and bring a behavioural change among them.
He also appealed to religious leaders to use their influence to ensure every person follows Covid appropriate behaviour in and outside the mosques.
He also stressed upon them to implement fresh guidelines issued by the UT level Executive Committee regarding religious and social gatherings during festivals.
The SDM also passed directions to concerned officers for ensuring necessary arrangements pertaining to their respective departments for Eid celebrations.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildar, SDPO, Niab Tehsildars, SHO, Duty Magistrates besides Imams and Khateebs.
