Seriously, it becomes so frustrating at times when you think about marriage. Like, you will be waiting all your life for such a partner who will think of you as a mere slave. If you say blue, he will purposely choose black in order to be on the contrary to show his supremacy. Not only this, he will also compel you to choose black. It feels as if it’s not a blessing but a curse to get married. Before marriage your life can be disastrous but after marriage it is for sure going to be a disaster.
It is heart-wrenching to say that people in the name of Islam have been curbing girls and depriving them of their rights. They very well know how to impose rules on women but don’t want to follow the ones that are meant for them. The funniest part is that they give justifications on the basis of something they hardly have knowledge of. Women have no problem in doing what men say, but they want a patient hearing. They keep giving consent to whatever is told to them, but that doesn’t mean men will take this privilege to suppress them. It is a fact that men need to understand that if women listen, that is because they respect the standpoint of men. If women bear with wrongdoings of their in-laws, it is because they love the house they live in.
Every time, though, everywhere, by everyone, every now and then women are being tested. They aren’t robots, they aren’t dummies. They, too, have feelings; they, too, get hurt. They put up with everything and try to make things work. And if, by chance, out of human emotions they react, they are labelled as culprits.
Ask yourself a question: for how long are men going to demoralise the spirits of women, degrade them of their dignity just in the name of marriage. The only things women yearn for are respect, understanding, love, care. Men need to comprehend the fact that adjustments are required from both the sides. Your wife is a human first, but she has been reduced to searching for her lost humanity.
