Army man killed in accident at Kupwara

KUPWARA: An army driver was killed in a mishap in frontier district Kupwara on Friday afternoon.
Police sources said that a MPV (Casspir) vehicle of Army’s 41-RR was stationed at main town Kupwara and due to some mechanical fault its hand handbrake disengaged and it moved backwards, colliding with another vehicle.
In the meantime the driver of the vehicle who was on the back side got trapped in between the two vehicles. The other army men rescued and shifted him to a nearby hospital, however he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased army driver was identified as Sepoy Bhoopati 26 belongs to 41-RR a resident of Tamil Nadu state from South India.
