VC LCMA conducts inspection of BrariNambal

SRINAGAR: Reaffirming its commitment to the conservation and sustainable management of Kashmir’s invaluable aquatic ecosystems, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Vice Chairman (VC), J&K Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), on Thursday conducted a comprehensive field inspection of BrariNambal.
The visit was part of the Vice Chairman’s ongoing programme of regular field inspections to ensure the effective implementation of conservation and restoration measures.
During the inspection, the Vice Chairman reviewed the conservation and restoration works being undertaken by the Authority and directed the concerned officers to ensure timely completion of all activities while maintaining the highest quality standards. He also emphasized the need for regular monitoring and sustained efforts for the long-term protection and ecological restoration of BrariNambal.
The Vice Chairman on spot directed for framing of various estimates for the works required for the preservation and beautification of the BrariNambal Lagoon waterbody.
Highlighting the importance of coordinated action, the Vice Chairman urged all field officers to work with dedication and commitment towards preserving the ecological integrity of BrariNambal and ensuring the conservation of this important waterbody.
The Vice Chairman was accompanied by the Superintending Engineer, Collector, Enforcement Officer (Dy. SP), Executive Engineers of Lake Division I, Lake Division II and Mechanical Division, AEEs, JEs Scientists and other officers and officials of J&K LCMA.
