Drive for collecting oxygen cylinders from private users started in Pampore

PAMPORE: Tehsil authorities of the Saffron town Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district have started a drive to collect oxygen cylinders from private persons for keeping them at the disposal of COVID designated hospitals.
Revenue Officials led by Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din have been collecting oxygen cylinders from various commercial establishments in the Saffron town. Tehsildar Pampore, Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader that the drive has been started on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer ul Haq Chaudhary.
“At COVID designated District Hospital Pulwama, there is sufficient availability of oxygen and oxygen supported beds and for past two days we have started a drive during which we collected oxygen cylinders from different workshops so that they will be kept at the disposal of district hospital Pulwama,” he said, adding that situation so far is well under control.
The officials said that they have collected around 40 oxygen cylinders so far.
Officials said that the oxygen plant at Pulwama supplies around 1000 LPM to district hospital Pulwama besides it is getting 60 refills daily from private suppliers from Khanmoh.
Presently, 132 active cases of COVID-19 are in treatment at District Hospital Pulwama.
