3 drug peddlers arrested by Police in Bla, contraband seized

Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
Officers from Police Station Sheeri at a checkpoint established at Sheeri Market intercepted three persons riding a scooty bearing registration number JK05H-4903. They have been identified as Mohammad Amin Sheikh son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh, Nisar Ahmad Parray son of Mohammad Yosuf Parray and Sajad Ahmad Malla son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Malla all the residents of Kitchama Sheeri. During checking, officers were able to recover 150gms Charas from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Scooty used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Sheeri and investigation has been taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
