SRINAGAR: In view of Transfer of PHE/ Jal Shakti wing department to SMC, a meeting under the Chairmanship of Commissioner SMC Athar Aamir Khan was held Wednesday to discuss and finalize the modalities regarding transfer of water works Division to SMC in his office chamber here at Karan Nagar.
He has taken review of Manpower, schemes and the undergoing projects.
Various issues and the measures to be taken regarding supply and demands under Jal Shakti department within SMC limits were also discussed at length.
Besides Chief Engineer PHE ,Joint Commissioner Adm , Joint Commissioner Works and other officials attended the meeting.During the course of the meeting Athar stressed officials to expedite with the finalization of an action plan to be submitted for the current year.
He also deliberate upon various issues including the financial aspects and emphasized that all necessary measures should be taken for adequate and uninterrupted water supply to the citizens of Srinagar especially in the upcoming holy month of Ramadan..
