RAMBAN: As many as 91 persons were administered first and second Covid vaccine doses across Ramban district today.
As per daily bulletin issued by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mohammad Farid Bhat, 91 persons were administered Covid vaccine in the district at dedicated Vaccination Centres. The vaccination has picked up following reduction in age from 60 years to 45 years in the age-appropriate category beginning April 1.
The District Administration has urged people over the age of 45 years to visit their nearest CVC to get vaccinated. It has also decided to intensify its drives to enforce face mask wearing at crowded places to prevent the infection from spreading.
In another decision, the Health Department shall mandatorily test patients who report at various health institutions in the district with respiratory tract infection.
The Health Department has also collected 306 samples including 143 RT-PCR and 163 RAT samples in the district.
