Pampore: A solid waste management plant will come in Pampore area South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
This was said by Director Urban Local Bodies Kashmir, Riyaz Ahmad Wani (KAS) on Tuesday during his visit to the Saffron town Pampore.
Talking to the media on the side lines of meeting with President Municipal Committee Malik Mohammad Yaqoob, councilors of Municipal Committee Pampore and officials of Municipal Committee, he said that a waste management facility will come up in the Pampore area.
“A solid waste management facility will come in Pampore during the current with assistance from 14 finance commission,” he said, adding that district authorities have already identified land for the said project.
Earlier, the Director Urban Local bodies Riyaz Ahmad Wani held an interactional meeting with Councilors and president of Municipal Committee Pampore, Malik Mohammad Yaqoob at townhall Pampore where various issues were discussed regarding parking of vehicles, public parks , portable water and drainage. with them.
This was the first interactional meeting of Director Urban Local bodies with councilors of Munciple Committee Pampore after bi-elections.
President Municipal Committee Pampore Malik Mohammad Yaqoob welcomed the director and thanked him for visiting Municipal Committee Pampore.
The director also visited various areas to inspect progress of ongoing works on the spot.
Deputy Director and Accounts Officer Urban Local Bodies, Executive officer Municipal Committee Pampore and other officials were also present on the occasion.
