BDC Pampore holds meeting with Panchs, Sarpanchs

Pampore: Sarpanchs and Panchs from different areas of Pampore block held a meeting on Tuesday here at the Saffron town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The meeting was held in the office building of block development officer Pampore under the Chairmanship of Block Development Chairman Pampore, Mir Altaf Hussain.
A large number of Panchs and Sarpanchs of Pampore block took part in the meeting.
BDC Pampore Mir Altaf Hussain told Kashmir Reader that the meeting was conducted to review status of various ongoing works and developmental projects.
” It was conveyed to Panchs and Sarpanchs of the block to complete targets by 31 March,” he said, adding that all pending works will be completed by the end of March 2021.
He added that they face shortage of raw materials due to ban on stone quarries.
“The authorities had announced that a short term permit will be granted to us for carrying out the developmental work, however, the order was not implemented,” he said, adding that they decided to call Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer on Wednesday in this regard to seek redressal of their grievance.
