Unemployed physical education degree holders urge government to fill all posts under Rehber –e- Khel policy

SRINAGAR: The unemployed physical education degrees on Saturday held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the Jammu and Kashmir Government to implement the IInd Phase policy of the Rehber –e- Khel.
Scores of the unemployed degrees holders from various districts of the Kashmir valley assembled here in press enclave under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir UT Unemployed Physical Education and Sports Association and chanting slogans “ we want Justice”, “ we want implementation of 2nd phase of Rehber-e- Khel” and “Save our Future,”.
The protesting degree holders said that if the government will not implement the second phase of the policy on that immediate. Most of the degree holders will get over aged. They could not apply for the posts due to the age bar.
President of the Jammu and Kashmir UT Unemployed Physical Education and Sports Association, Mohammad Iqbal Dar said that the Rehber-e-Khel policy was created in 2017 by the Government. Under this policy 7311 posts were created by the government at that time.
” Out of 7311 posts only 3000 posts have been filled by the government. 4311 posts are still pending as per policy,” He said.
Dar said that we have already approached the previous Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and other higher officials of the Government. It is unfortunate nothing has been done upon the ground levels.
” It was promised to us by the previous government that the Rehber-e-Khel policy will be implemented in two phases. But unfortunately the second phase of the policy has not been fulfilled yet,” He said.
The protesting degree holders that they are waiting from last three that the government will Implement the second phase policy of the Rehber-e-Khel.
The protesting degree holders requested the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to look into the matter for the implementation of the 2nd phase Rehber-e- khel policy at earliest.
