Shopian: A fire that broke out in the building of government primary school Ambarbug village in Imamsahib Tehsil of Shopian has reduced the one storey structure into rubble.
Locals from the village informed that fire in the building broke out around 6:30 pm however, the cause of fire was not known yet. A revenue official also confirmed the fire incident to Kashmir Reader.
Locals from the village told Kashmir Reader that fire was so intense that it took very less time to engulf the whole building resulting in severe damages to the single storey building.
Earlier this month on 21 January a school building was also damaged in a fire incident at Nadigam village of the district.
Locals from Ambarbug told Kashmir Reader that the improper snow clearance on the road leading to the school building couldn’t let the fire and emergency vehicle to reach the spot. They said that the building couldn’t have been saved provided the vehicle could have reached the spot without hassle.
