Mother, two daughters died due to suffocation in Uri village

BARAMULLA: A woman along with her two daughters died due to suffocation inside their room in Boniyar area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday night.
Sources said that a woman and her two young daughters were found dead inside their home in Lari village of Boniyar, Uri Saturday night due to suffocation of a wooden Bukhari which they left inside their room Saturday night.
Block medical officer (BMO) Boniyar, Dr Parvaiz Masoodi told Kashmir Reader that soon after receiving information teams of health department along with a lady doctor and a team of police reached the spot and shift the bodies to public health centre Boniyar where we conduct their postmortem and other legal formalities.
“Most probably the trio died due to carbon monoxide from a wooden Bukhari which they left on in their room, however samples have been sent for further investigation, and the actual cause of death can be declared after receiving FSL report” Dr Masoodi said.
The trio were identified as Shameema Begum 43 wife of Abdul Majeed Ganie and their daughters Nighat Majeed 13 and Tabasum Majeed 9.
The sources said that later bodies were handed over to their family and buried in the presence of health and police teams.
The police station Boniyar, registered a case under relevant sections of law and further investigation is going on.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla Ghulam Nabi Itoo has provided rupees one lakh immediate relief to the next of kin of the trio who died in the Lari village of Boniyar due to suffocation in their home.
