Think Different

Think Different

Umar Afzal Dar

Live by design, not by default.
Do not make your mind a dumping ground for someone else’s trash.
Life goes on! Be it up or be it down. People break records, others break themselves. It is all about your attitude. Success depends not so much on what happens as on how you respond to what happens.
The enemy that pushes us towards suicide or self-harm is within ourselves. One needs to strike this enemy before it strikes one down. You don’t have to run from your problems, for you have to fight them. Carrying on with life with all the problems unsolved will only create turmoil within. You don’t have to agree with or accept everything in this world. You need to work to find solutions to every problem that the world throws at you. Be able to find opportunity for every difficulty through persistence, determination, and by not discouraging and depressing yourself.
Learn from an ant, who teaches us not to stumble before an obstacle. An ant never sits idle. An ant works hard and never quits. If you block its way, it will find another way. Ants prepare throughout summer for the winter. Ants never get distracted as they are driven by a purpose. Ants carry big responsibilities as compared to their size and weight.
Everyone wants to be exceptional, but to become exceptional is not a big task. You just need to pull up your sleeves and change the way you look at things. The attitude of a person determines the skill he has, which is more powerful than any academic degree, place of birth, or looks. Pessimism is dangerous and worse than any illness or disease of the body. Negativity will only worsen your condition with each passing day.
Achievers look for solutions for every problem, while losers look for a problem in every solution. The sun rises for the optimist and the pessimist alike. The optimist thanks the sun for a new day but the pessimist complains of having to struggle through another day.
Winners make things happen, losers wait for things to happen. Vince Lombardi, the famous football coach, said, “Winning is not a sometime thing, it’s an all-the-time thing. You don’t win once in a while. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. Some guys play with their heads but you’ve got to play with your heart. Running a football team is no different than running any kind of organisation – an army, a political party, or a business. The principles are the same. The object is to win fairly and squarely by the rules – but to win. I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle –victorious.”
You can be a winner if you are able to think differently. When something bad happens, it can break you or strengthen you. Don’t lose hope and don’t live in the past. Use every heart-break as an opportunity to bounce back. Make yourself stronger and think nothing of hardship. Keep your esteem high by making yourself worthy in your own eyes.
In conclusion, it can be said that success introduces you to the world but failure introduces the world to you.
