Srinagar: A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Srigufara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
As per reports, the encounter was triggered after Police, Army’s 03 RR and E/116 of CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in the area.
Sources said that two to three militants are believed to be trapped at the spot.
Pertinently, 128 militants have been killed so far in the valley this year.(GNS)
