Baramulla: Baramulla police on Wednesday recovered huge quantity of illicit liquor from a vehicle near the Kralhal check post on Srinagar Baramulla road and arrested one person.
Official sources said that a commercial vehicle bearing registration number JK02AS-4308 was stopped by a team of Baramulla police for routine checking.
During checking the police team headed by ASI Abdul Rehman recovered huge quantity of illicit liquor from the vehicle. The vehicle has been seized while the driver of the vehicle identified as Syed Tafazur Hussain son of Mohammad Hussain resident of Gingal Uri has been detained.
Police have registered a case and further investigation has been started.
