SRINAGAR: IGP Kashmir SPPani-IPS on Saturday pitched for strong co-ordination between police and prosecution and emphasised the important role of Prosecutors in the field in order to establish effective criminal justice system.
“He expressed hope that police and prosecution will work in a more coordinated form to ensure that justice is served in all cases,” the statement said.
He stated this in a meeting with the officers of Prosecution Department posted in Kashmir Zone.
Meeting was attended by the senior officers of the prosecution department. IGP Kashmir interacted with officers and discussed different issues raised by the officials of Prosecution Department.
IGP Kashmir assured them that adequate resources will be made available for creating a professional work environment.
Officers from the prosecution department thaked IGP Kashmir for providing them with valuble insights, the statement said.
