Dr. Mehraj-u-din Munshi, former Head of Department (HoD) Government Medical College Srinagar (GMC), Srinagar passed away late last night.
Apart from being a renowned professor of medicine, Munshi was also an ideologue of pro-independence party Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), a party spokesman told Kashmir Reader. He said that Munshi has also served jail sentences due to his political ideologies.
Hundreds of people attended his nimaz-e-Janaza at Mirzabagh, Nigeen.
