Hardening its stand against its former commander, Zakir Musa, militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen Tuesday claimed that Musa is a ‘traitor’ and is taking money from Indian agencies to get militants killed.
In a video recently uploaded on internet, the authenticity of which could not be verified, five masked man brandishing automatic weapons claimed that Zakir Musa is trying to make the ‘struggle weak’.
“We want to convey a special message from Hizbul Mujahideen to the oppressed nation. For the last three months, a large number of Mujahideen were martyred in the Valley. We have not seen so many Muhajids dying in a short span of time earlier,” a gunman said in the video.
“Earlier we did not believed such rumors, but now we believe that Zakir Musa is doing the job for Indian agencies,” the gunman said.
The video claimed that Zakir Musa is fully trying to make ‘the struggle weak’ by doing the work of ‘Indian agents’.
“Zakir Musa got many big wigs martyred among Mujahids and has taken a large sum of money from the Indian agencies,” he claims.
Pertinently, Musa, had earlier threatened that his organisation would chop off the heads of Hurriyat leaders and hang them in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk for calling the Kashmir issue a “political struggle” and not an “Islamic struggle”.
Later, Hizbul Mujahideen had said that it is the personal view of the militant commander and expelled him from the organisation.
“Such a statement (Musa’s) is unacceptable to us. It reflects the personal opinion of Zakir Musa,” Hizb spokesperson had said.
Zakir Musa was later named by the al-Qaeda as the head of its first branch in the Valley.
The Global Islamic Media Front had said the cell will be called ‘Ansar Ghazwat-Ul-Hind’ and it was set up after Hizbul commander Burhan Wani’s death.
