An Army trooper Monday allegedly attempted suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in the city outskirts here.
“Sep Pankaj this evening at around 1930 hrs, shot himself with own AK-47 Rifle at 7016 EME Unit near Koul Kandoli Mandir at Nagrota,” police sources here said.
They said that he was attached in 16 RR, adding, “He was shifted to the Military Hospital Satwari, Jammu for treatment.”
