Thousands of mourners today participated in the funeral prayers of slain militant Parvaiz Ahmad who was killed in a gunfight  with government forces in forests of Satura Tral along with other two associates yesterday.

The  first round of funeral prayers of Parvaiz Ahmad a resident of Lajurah Pulwama who was missing from his home from 18/06/2017 was offered at his maternal home Pahoo Pulwam. However, his dead body is being taken to his ancestral home in Rakh e Lajurah where he will be laid to rest.

Witnesses said the pro-freedom, pro-militant and anti-India slogans were raised during his funeral.

As per locals Parvaiz was pious boy and was leading prayers in a local Masjid in Pahoo Pulwama as he was a Hafiz e Quran.
