Clashes erupted between youth and government forces in Narbal area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
The youth were protesting the recent militant killings in Rudbugh Magam, where in a gunfight on 11 July, three militants were killed.
Yoth took to the Srinagar-Gulmarg National highway while raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
Forces deployed there, used tear smoke shells and pepper gas to disperse the protesting youth.
Consequently, the vehicular movement was disrupted on the highway.
However, police has restored the traffic, when the last reports came in.
