SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Sunday extended heartfelt greetings to the Kashmiri Pandit community and the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani (Zyeth Atham).
Dr. Farooq Abdullah called the festival “a living symbol of Kashmir’s soul,” emphasizing its role as a convergence of faith, tradition, and harmony. He expressed his hope that the celebration would bring renewed peace, hope, and prosperity to the region, highlighting it as a testament to Jammu and Kashmir’s shared heritage and enduring unity in diversity.

In addition, Dr. Farooq Abdullah extended greetings on the Urs observances of revered saints Hazrat Syed Saleh Khan (RA) of Khansahib, Budgam, and Hazrat Shah Farid-ud-Din Baghdadi (RA) of Kishtwar.
In his message, Dr. Farooq highlighted the spiritual significance of these saints, whose teachings rooted in compassion, humility, brotherhood, and service continue to inspire people towards peace and moral righteousness.
