Killing 60-year-old man worst form of state-terrorism: Jama’at-e-Islami

Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir condemned the killing of ’60-year-old’ Mohammad Yousuf Bhat of Panzgam Kupwara by government forces and termed it “worst face of state terrorism.”

Jama’at spokesperson in a statement said that, “government forces have made a routine to resort indiscriminate use of pellets and bullets upon peaceful and innocent Kashmiris to muzzle their just and legitimate voice.”

“Indian forces are big hurdle in the prosperity and development of Kashmir who soak their hands into the blood of innocents and thereby leave this region into the quagmire of uncertainty,” he said adding that, “These brutal forces with the help of those who are at helm brazenly deceive world community from the realities of Kashmir.”

Jama’at has expressed solidarity with the family of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat and injured and “impressed upon the world community to take strong note of bloodshed of Kashmiris”urging them to take “effective and concrete measures for the resolution of long standing Kashmir dispute.”

Jama’at has also appealed human rights groups to take appropriate action against these forces “who tramples every human right in Kashmir.”
