SRINAGAR: The Private Schools Association Jammu & Kashmir (PSAJK) has expressed profound grief and deep sorrow over the sad demise of Prof. Dost Mohammad, former Dean, College Development Council, University of Kashmir.
Prof. Dost Mohammad was a highly respected academician, visionary administrator, and an eminent educationist whose lifelong dedication to the cause of education left an indelible mark on the academic landscape of Jammu & Kashmir, PSAJK said in a statement issued here.
His scholarly contributions, administrative acumen, and commitment to institutional development played a pivotal role in strengthening higher education and mentoring generations of students and educators, it added.
The Association said the demise of Prof. Dost Mohammad is an irreparable loss not only to the University of Kashmir but also to the entire academic fraternity and education sector of the region. He will always be remembered for his humility, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to academic excellence, it added.
In a condolence message, Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam, President PSAJK, expressed heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues, students, and admirers of the late Professor. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and for courage, patience, and strength to the family to bear this immense and irreparable loss.
