SRINAGAR: In a significant breakthrough, J&K Police in Baramulla arrested a man who had been hiding from the law in case vide FIR No. 69/2023 U/S 457, 380 IPC registered at Police Station Kunzer.
“The accused, Saqib Ahmad Shah, son of Gh. Hassan Shah, resident of Takia Batapora, had been evading arrest for a long time in connection with the 2023 case. Acting on reliable information, a team from PS Kunzer swiftly moved into Hardshoora Kunzer area and arrested him,” a police spokesperson said in a statement, adding that the accused was presented before the court for further legal action.
“The arrest of the absconder reflects the sustained efforts of J&K Police in tracking down long-term fugitives,” the spokesperson said.
Police said they are committed to ensuring that no offender escapes the reach of law, and such actions will continue in the future.
