University to conduct exams for 28,000 students across 35 centres in two UTs
SRINAGAR: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will conduct its Term End Examination (TEE) for December 2024 from December 2, 2024, to January 9, 2025. The exams will be held across 35 centres in the Kashmir Valley and the Union Territory of Ladakh, with approximately 28,000 students expected to take part.
In light of the region’s harsh winter conditions, the IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar has established additional exam centres in areas such as Uri, Sogam, Qazigund, Dooru, Thindim Kreeri, Langate, and Handwara. These centres are designed to assist students from these remote locations in appearing for their exams without facing travel difficulties. An exam centre has also been set up in Central Jail for inmates.

Students must carry their Hall Ticket and a valid university-issued identity card to the examination centres. Mobile phones and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination halls.

Regional Director Dr. A.H. Rizvi thanked the local administration for its ongoing support in deploying security personnel at the exam centres and facilitating the timely dispatch of exam materials through postal authorities.
