SRINAGAR: The Pencak Silat Association of Jammu & Kashmir is set to conduct open selection trials for boys and girls aged 14 to 17 years on July 21, 2024, at 11:00 am sharp onwards at the Gindun Sports Centre, Raj Bagh, Srinagar.
This trial is a precursor to the participation of J&K UT teams in the 8th edition of the Senior & Junior Pencak Silat Federation Cup 2024-25, scheduled to take place at the Indoor Stadium, Leh, Ladakh, from August 2-4, 2024, the association said in a statement.
To be eligible for the trials, each player must bring a valid ID proof, recommendation from their district head, parent declaration, medical and health insurance certificate, and two passport-sized photographs. Upon submitting all required documents, players will be cleared for the selection trials.
All affiliated District Pencak Silat Associations are advised to confirm their entries for the junior categories (boys and girls) by July 15, 2024, via email or WhatsApp to the provided email address or WhatsApp numbers. No late entries will be accepted.
“Please note that no boarding, lodging, or transportation will be provided during the trials. Selected athletes will undergo a screening process by the J&K Sports Council on July 22, 2024,” the association said. “We request all interested athletes to carefully follow the procedure outlined in this notice and adhere to the rules and regulations governing the selection trials.”
